Five Summer Style Must-Haves

Five Summer Style Must-Haves

Summer begins on June 21st, and we are so ready for the rise in temps. Bring on the lazy beach days, relaxing on a boat, park picnics and any other super fun summer activity you can dream up. Our hearts and minds are ready, but are our closets? If you need a little help enhancing your summer 2022 wardrobe, take a look at these 5 must-haves that'll kickstart your closet into hot weather gear!

1. Platform Heels - Yes, we are going back to the Y2K era with these shoes. These cuties will pair well with your wide leg pants, micro mini skirts and dresses alike. No matter your height, platform heels will be your summer bestie! Rock them proudly girl!

2. Silk Scarves - I am so excited for this trend. I love love love silk scarves. They are so versatile and can be worn as tops or hair accessories. Wear them as a form of self-expression and personalize them in a way that suits you! You can tie it around your neck, wear it as a headband or simply weave it through your belt loops.

3. Bright Colors - This one is an adjustment for me since I tend to lean more towards neutrals and pastels. However, I am obsessing over the bright colors that are trending right now.  Colors like hot pink, cobalt blue, bright red, orange and yellow are going to pop this summer. Have fun with this trend and try out a monochromatic look. If you are baby-stepping your way into these colors, the key is to choose shades that make you feel good and excited. If you are not feeling bold and bright, then opt for something pastel.

4. Coastal Vibes - "Coastal Grandmother" is the coined phrase. Think of it as beachfront simplistically chic. This style looks great on everyone, incorporating light neutral toned outfits, linen fabrics, and breathable pieces. "Start this look with the Imbue Emery Pants, add a white tank and oversized white button up shirt."

5. Cool Cutouts - Bold cutouts have been trending for a while now and they are not going anywhere during summer 2022. Back cutouts are common, but as we transition into summer you'll see more side, shoulder and asymmetrical cutouts.
